King Charles I designed by William K. Harper was released in 1992 to commemorate the 350th anniversary of the start of the English Civil War, 1642. A limited run of 2500 means each jug is inscribed with its unique item number.

King Charles I was monarch of England, Scotland and Ireland from 1925 – 1649. Due to his belief in the divine right of kings he was an autocratic ruler bordering on tyrannical and was eventually tried and executed for treason.
