John Beswick 10cm Bay Shetland Pony Figurine
The Shetland Pony is so named after being bred in the Shetland Isles. They were first used to carry peat and pull carts which extended to them being used as 'pit ponies' in the industrial revolution. Shetland are extremely strong and sturdy horses due to being bred in the harsh conditions of the Shetlands. Despite their size, they are one of the strongest horse breeds being able to carry twice their own weight. This tough horse has been finely modelled and hand-painted to create a life-like study. Perfect for any horse lover, it would make the perfect addition to any collection.
