Cornishware Cornish Blue Honey/Marmalade Jar
The Splendid strips you see before you go back a long way. Originally made in 1926 in the T.G.Green & Co. Derbyshire factory, they soon went on to become a British icon.
Rumor has it that the pottery reminded an employee of the clear blue skies and white-tipped waves of Cornwall, which is how Cornishware got it's name.
Those beloved bands once came from a rather clever lathe-turning process that cut cleean stripes through the coloured slip to show white clay beneath.
Nowadays, while staying true to it's original form, Cornishware has been updated for the modern age, by making it dishwasher & mircowave safe.
